According to a passenger who spoke to NBC News, the young girl and her father were rescued after they left the Disney cruise overboard.
In a statement, Disney Cruise Line said “the crew on the Disney Dream quickly rescued two guests from the water.”
The statement went on to say: “We praised the crew for their outstanding skills and prompt action, ensuring that both guests return safely to the ship within minutes. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident underscores the effectiveness of safety protocols.”
Several passengers on the Disney Dream praised the crew for their quick response and quick thinking.

According to Cruisemapper, the ship departed in the Bahamas on June 26th before docking to the Port Everglades, Florida on Monday morning.
