The Trump administration is working on ways to allow farmers and hospitality industries to have “temporary passes” to avoid negative consequences from immigration and customs enforcement operations, he said in Sunday Morning Futures.

“I will not leave. What I have, I will take care of the farmers,” the president said when asked about the issue by his host Maria Bartiromo. “And those who probably got wrong when we went to the farm and took away people who had worked for 15 and 20 years. And what we’re trying to do is do something for farmers who can take charge of farmers.

“But when you know, if you go to the farm and set up someone who’s doing this kind of work and working with them for nine years, it’s an effort and a lot of people aren’t going to do that.

“That’s the problem. You know, I’m on both sides of it. I’m the strongest immigrant man ever existed, but I’m the strongest farmer ever existed.

“We’re working on that now. We’re going to have a temporary pass of sorts, a temporary pass where people pay taxes, so that farmers have a bit of control rather than you go in and take everyone away,” he continued, emphasizing that “criminals are leaving this country.”

On June 12, the president made similar comments about the possibility that hotels and farms could become involved in problems as a result of federal immigration enforcement.

“The great farmers and people in hotel and leisure business say our very aggressive policies on immigration have kept very good, long-time workers away from them.

“In many cases, criminals were allowed to our country by the very stupid Biden Open Border policy. This is applying for those jobs. This is not good. We have to protect farmers, but we have to drive criminals out of America. Change is coming!”

On June 19th, Border CZAR Tom Homan signaled that these operations would still continue, but that is not a major focus.

“This message is based on prioritization, even on farms and hotels. It’s clear that criminals are trying to continue their workplace enforcement business with the first thing they come,” Homan said.

ICE and DHS mentioned the White House, which reiterated the president’s remarks when Fox News Digital reached out. Comments from the president are whether those who have been criminally charged and convicted or those who have entered the country illegally under the Biden administration, as the administration aims to strengthen deportation efforts. At the border itself, people from anxiety and Gotaway have plummeted since Trump took office.

DHS also encourages people with no criminal history to self-promotion by offering $1,000 and free travel outside the United States. Ice operations have been the subject of protests and riots, including in Los Angeles.
