It was a busy week for Compton-born rapper Roddy Rich.
He made his incredible runway debut at Paris Fashion Week last week as part of the 424 SS26 show. 424 is a luxury streetwear brand based on LA, founded by Guillermo Andrade, which has a store in the Fairfax area.
Rich – Born Roderick Wayne Moore Jr. appeared in the show in sharp clothing, with an exclusive, tailored look that showed off the collaboration between 424, Hoorenbuhs and Dita. 424 also tapped other musicians to walk the runways such as Tommy Richman and Lema.

Roddy then moved backstage from the Front of House to curate the original scores for the 2026 Spring/Summer Show.
According to a spokesman for the Grammy Award-winning rapper, the brand’s inner child collection is based on “a boyhood nostalgia, athletic obsession and the identity of fractures of growth.” These are all topics that Rich explores in his music.
His work on scores has become more than just a musical effort, and it helped shape the line perfectly, a spokesman said through a media release.
“InnerChild was overseen by creative lead Steve Hsieh and used scout gear, school looks and sportswear as storytelling devices,” the release reads. “Rody’s score ran through silhouettes like memory itself: a blend of orchestral textures, trap gospels, ambient strings and sports sound bits.”
The dual action nature of his Paris Fashion Week debut is what the rapper himself says was set from the beginning.
“The idea wasn’t just about making something that sounded good,” Roddy Rich said in the release. “It was about creating something that felt like opening up memories you had forgotten.”

This year has been productive for the “Die Young” rapper.
After finishing 2024 with the feature on Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” album, he made his debut aloud in the animated film “Sneaks,” and also contributed to the soundtrack of the “F1” film, which debuted at the box office this weekend.
He is scheduled to drop his third full-length album, The Navy Album, on July 18th.
