Elon Musk has not given up on his criticism of what he sees as a lack of spending cuts on the GOP’s “big, beautiful bill” claiming his platform X, “we live in a one-party country.”
Musk’s criticism of the Republican spending package began before he left the Trump administration as a special government employee leading the Government Efficiency (DOGE). Continuing after his departure, Musk described the bill earlier this month as “filled with pork” and “unpleasantly hateful.” The billionaire entrepreneur lamented that the bill could work to cancel much of the work it accomplished with the Doge.
“It’s clear in this bill’s insane spending. This will increase the debt cap at a record $5 trillion in which we live in one party country. Porky pig party!,” Musk wrote to X on Monday afternoon as the Senate continued to consider spending bills that will pass homes. “Time for a new political party that actually cares about people,” Musk added.

In another post on X’s Monday evening, Musk doubled his claim that the United States is dominated by one party system.
“They are just pretending to be two parties,” he wrote, sharing the post along with a graphic showing how steadily national debt is increasing each year. “It’s actually one single party.”
Meanwhile, the billionaire entrepreneur threatened, “If this insane spending bill passes, the American party will be formed the next day.”
“Our country needs something to replace Democrat Unipati, just like people actually speak up,” Musk wrote on X on Monday evening.

Musk previously said he was “disappointed” with the spending bill as he “dampens” all the work his Doge team was accomplishing to reduce federal waste, fraud and abuse. However, R-SD Sen. John Tune rebutted Musk’s claim that the bill would overturn all the work he did at Doge, saying in an interview, “A lot of what Elon was working on was on the discretionary aspect of the budget. [the “big, beautiful bill”] I won’t touch it. ”
Russell Vert, director of management and budget, revealed in an interview with Blaze’s Glenn Beck that GOP’s “big beautiful bill” cannot legally include discretionary spending reductions. The bill includes discretionary spending instructions on defense and border security, but final approval requires the passage of the Congressional expenditure process.
After officially leaving his post with the Trump administration earlier this month, Musk posted President Donald Trump’s post in 2013, stating that he was “embarrassing” to become a Republican after the party extended its debt cap. Musk shared his previous post, writing, “wise words.”

A few days ago, Musk called the “big, beautiful bill” Trump had recruited “a nasty hatred.” He previously proposed killing jobs and raising taxes for renewable energy projects where the bill is still ongoing. The feud between Musk and his bill’s supporters escalated further after Musk tried to tie Trump to Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex scandal in a now-deleted post.

When contacted to comment on Musk’s complaints about Trump-approved spending packages, the White House turned the president’s comments to the Fox News business over the weekend. When asked Sunday in an interview with Fox Business Anchor Maria Bartiromo, the president described Musk as “a great man.” Trump then described some of the actions of White’s house in Mask as inappropriate.
“I think he’s a great guy. I’ve never talked to him much, but I think Elon is a great guy and he’s always trying to do well,” Trump said. “He’s a clever guy. And he actually went and worked out with me and this. But he was a bit upset and that wasn’t appropriate.”

“Why was he upset? Had he not got what he wanted?” asked Baltiromo.
“Look, electric car missions, EV mandates, are tough for him,” Trump explained. “I wouldn’t want anyone to have an electric car. You know, I chose to campaign – you have – choose…not everyone should have it, not everyone wants it.”
