The 37-year-old woman who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Hollywood over the weekend has been identified by grieving her family and friends, but the suspicious driver remains absolutely surviving.
The tragic clash occurred on West Sunset Boulevard near North Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood around 9pm on June 29th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Erica Edwards was walking into the car after performing at a fundraiser in the area, but was hit by the driver with a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz G. wagon while next to her car.
The driver stopped, tried to identify himself and render the aid. Police said speed could be a factor in the fatal collision.
A Los Angeles Fire Department healthcare worker responded and declared the 37-year-old dead at the scene.

Two brothers reported deaths from a California highway were overlooked.
He also said that he and his wife had just closed escrow in their new home and recently got their keys.
“I’m still unpacking the box,” he wrote. “Next, we wanted to have kids.
