The Pentagon has frozen shipments of vital weapons to Ukraine in Ukraine, including patriot missile interceptors and 155 mm artillery fire, at a pivotal moment in the war between Kiev and Russia, Fox News confirmed.
According to US military personnel tracking the cargo, the weapons had already been staged in Poland before the orders dropped.
The outage was driven by Policy Elbridge Colby’s Secretary of Defense after a review of US munitions stockpiles that showed dangerously low reserves, Politico first reported.
“This was made to put America’s interests first,” White House assistant reporter Anna Kelly said she also shared a statement from NA with Fox News Digital. “The strength of the US military remains unquestionable. Ask Iran.”

Trump, Secretary of Defense and architect of the 2018 National Defense Strategy, Colby has long pushed a tough shift to counter China over his continued involvement in Ukraine. Before rejoining the Pentagon, he led the marathon initiative and wrote the Negation Strategy, a widely cited blueprint for the Great Power Contest.
According to Politico, the withholding weapons include air defense ammunition, precision guided shells and Hellfire missiles used by Ukrainian F-16s.
The senior defense secretary told Pentagon review Politico that the patriot interceptor stockpile, a precision-guided 155 mm shell, and other important ammunition had dropped to levels that we thought were insufficient to meet our accidental plan.
The Army has already quietly quadrupled its procurement target for the Patriot Interceptor, but defense analysts say it takes time to restock.

Over the weekend, Russia launched the biggest air attacks of the war, nearly 500 drones and 60 missiles. Ukraine’s air defenses are made in many of the US and remain tense.

After meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenki at the NATO summit, Trump said, “They want to have anti-missile missiles. …We’ll see if there are some available.”
The remaining funds from the Biden administration are expected to be exhausted in the coming months.
