Two men from the ’60s, reportedly missing earlier this month, were found dead in a pickup truck off State Route 166 in Santa Barbara County last week.
According to SFGate, 61-year-old James Fuller and 60-year-old Eric Fuller were reported missing by friends a few days after they left for the appointment of doctors in Santa Maria on June 6th.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched on June 18 to search for the missing man along the highway, but were unable to find them at the time.

Until June 26, California Department of Transport workers said that a 1998 GMC Sierra pickup capsized onto the embankment and hidden by a heavy brush on Highway 166 near Old Sierra Madre Road east of Santa Maria until June 26, CHP said in a news release.

Authorities found two men dead in the truck, and the brothers’ family confirmed their deaths on GoFundMe while CHP waited for DNA test results for official identification.
“For 21 days we searched tirelessly. We hiked what we could and followed all the leads,” the family said in the post. “Wait, helplessness, pain – it was more devastating than words. This is not the result of any of us prayed. Our hearts are broken.”
No information is provided regarding the exact cause of the crash.
