(News Nation) – New York ju umpire has reached a verdict in the federal sexual crimes trial against dishonest music mogul Shaun “Diddy” Combs.

Combs was found guilty of a prostitution-related offence but was acquitted Wednesday of sex trafficking and assault.

The decision will be made by a ju apprentice consisting of eight men and four women after 13 hours of deliberation over three days.

He could send the 55-year-old comb to prison for 10 years, potentially ending his career as a hit-making music executive, fashion entrepreneur, brand ambassador and reality television star.

Tuesday’s deliberation ended at a dead end after ry judges told Judge Arun Subramanian that he had reached a unanimous verdict on sex trafficking and transport and had not engaged in prostitution charges.

The ju umpire returned with the verdict an hour after Wednesday’s meeting.

Combs was charged with one count of assault conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking and two transports to engage in prostitution.

Top 10 moments from Diddy’s criminal trial

The trial lasted seven weeks, including testimony from 34 witnesses.

What is the maximum statement that posted Diddy’s fees?

Assault and sex trafficking are sentenced to the greatest life sentences in prison.

Sex trafficking claims also pose a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, while transport for the purposes of prostitution is sentenced to a maximum sentence of 10 years.

What happened during the Didy Trial?

The government lawsuit has sparked several former employees of Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment Companies, whose most notable witnesses were two former partners, singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and “Jane,” who is “Jane.”

Ventura, who was later in her pregnancy at the time, testified in four days about the decade of abuse she said she was facing at Combs’ hands. She said she felt pressured to engage with sex workers in hundreds of sexual events known as “freak-offs.” These encounters are often filmed, and Ventura said she was threatened by Combs, who used the video as a exploitative move.

Jane testified for six days about a sexual performance called “Hotel Night” and said she was forced to be involved with them just like she did in August last year, but she did so because she loved and still loved her.

Cathy testified that after Diddy’s “freak-off,” she became addicted to opioids.

Ventura was associated with Combs from 2007 to 2018, but Jane was with him from 2021 until last year’s arrest.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys performed a few minutes of recordings of “freak-off” and “hotel night.”

The run umpire also faced a share of the drama when Judge Arun Subramanian excuses one ju umpire for not being true during the selection process about his residence.

The ju apprenticed casually to members of the court staff that he moved with his New Jersey girlfriend, outside of New Jersey’s jurisdiction.

What the prosecutor claimed in the Diddy Trial

In their closing statement, the government portrayed Combs’ criminal enterprise as his “kingdom.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Christie Slavik told the ju judge that Combs was “someone who doesn’t say no to the answer” and “reliant on silence and shame,” allowing him to make his abusive behavior.

She pointed out his “small army” of his assistants and bodyguards to help him hurt and hide the woman.

The prosecutor portrays Diddy as the head of the criminal “kingdom.”

“When someone commits a crime as part of a group, they are more powerful and dangerous,” Slavik said. “The defendant was a powerful man, but he became more powerful and dangerous because of his inner circle, his business, the business.”

What Diddy’s defense attorney argued

The prosecution presented a robust case, but the defense attorney had no witnesses within hours.

Much of their argument was based on the theory that all accusers agreed with adults and no one was forced to participate in Combs’ sexual events.

They rely heavily on text messages between Comb and his ex-partner to show that women are sometimes happy and even arranged for sexual encounters.

The defense attorney used a closing statement to over-invoke Combs’ prosecutors and say he is on trial for sexual inclinations and lifestyle choices.

Attorney Mark Agnifilo said the prosecutor combined the swinger’s lifestyle and the threesome’s “badly exaggerated” evidence, along with recreational drug use, calling it a conspiracy of assault.

“He didn’t do what he was charged with. He didn’t assault the conspiracy and sex trafficking,” the lawyer said.

He also laughed at the prosecutor’s claim that Combs and his support engaged in hundreds of assaults and their suggestion that many of his so-called “freak-offs” and “hotel nights” are crimes.

He said he had a “loving, beautiful” relationship, albeit “complicated.”

“If the plot to assault was the opposite, it would be their relationship… They were in deep love with each other,” Agnifilo said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
