A woman injured during an argument at a Hollywood convenience store died Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
LAPD officials responded to seven stores in the 5700 block of Melrose Avenue at around 2:15pm on June 24th, according to preliminary information.
When police arrived, the woman believed to be in her 20s was found to be unconscious on the store floor, LAPD said.
The victim, later identified as Jessica McLaughlin, was taken to hospital. She was in a state of crisis and was declared dead on Wednesday.
According to LAPD, investigators have obtained video evidence of the incident, but have not yet made it public at this time.
LA County Medical Inspectors are also investigating the case and are working to determine the cause and method of death of the victim.
