A typical shopping trip turns out to be a fateful day for a woman from the Inland Empire who knew she would be millions for nearly 15 years.
Deborah Turlinger was convinced of her fortune after winning $30,000 in a Mega Millions pullback in 2011.
“I’ve been telling everyone. You’re just waiting, I’m going to win a multi-million dollar jackpot,” Trullinger told California lottery officials.
Lottery officials announced Thursday that Tollinger was grocery shopping at the Albertsons Store on Scott Road, Murietta.

“I wasn’t wearing glasses so I was scratching it and thinking, ‘Yeah! I got $500,'” Trullinger said. “Then I said, ‘Honey, I think I’ve won 5,000.’ Then I go “Wait a minute.” ”
In a thorough examination, Trullinger has just won a top $5 million award and finds himself in a hurry to share the news with her husband.
“My husband said, ‘Well, you always said you’re going to be a lot of 100 million years,” she explained.
Stores that sold Lucky Scratcher will receive a $25,000 bonus, officials said.
