L.A. prosecutors this week accused seven in seven of them of robbery of elaborate gems, including “signal jammers,” and allegedly stolen thieves and stolen theft, officials said.

Last week, the same group was in the process of carrying out a similar intrusion at a rodeo jeweller in Raverne when it was interrupted by officers from five different police agencies led by the Glendale Police Department, authorities said.
In the Raverne case, prosecutors said the defendant would use “signal jammers” and cut utility lines that disable local internet and emergency services.
“For those involved in organized crime targeting businesses in Los Angeles County: No matter how carefully planned your crime is, you will be identified, arrested and charged to the fullest extent of the law,” Hochman said in a statement. “These reckless crimes threaten livelihoods and not only instill fear in the community, but attempts to avoid detection by disabling emergency services put millions of lives at risk. This is unacceptable under my watch.”
Jose Mirafil, 30; Luca Pasitiani, 27; Javier Sepulveda, 24; Mattiasvera, 34; Victor Iturriagalopez, 20; Edson Gonzalez, 33; and Christian Gonzalezabulto, 30, were charged with two counts of grand theft, two commercial robbery and vandalism, and cutting off the utility line, respectively. Each defendant pleaded not guilty when he appeared in Burbank Court on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the District Attorney’s Office was unable to immediately provide information about the attorney representing each defendant.
