The Los Angeles Clippers are sending Norman Powell to the Miami Heat on a three-team trade that also involves the Utah Jazz.
ESPN’s Shamzcharania was one of the first to report on trade.
According to Charania, Powell is being traded for the Heat in a trade that sends John Collins to LA and sends Heat Kevin Love and Kyle Anderson to Utah.
Utah will also receive a 2027 second round pick from the Clippers.
Powell, 32, averaged a career-high 21.8 points in 60 games in clips last season. He also started all seven of the team’s playoff games of this past season. The Toronto Raptors NBA champion joined the team in 2022 after being traded by the Portland Trail Blazers.

Collins, 27, joins the Clippers from the Jazz after two years of stints in Utah. He previously spent six seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. Wake Forest alumni averaged 19 points and eight rebounds, but were limited to just 40 games due to injuries.
The Clippers have been active this offseason, re-signing veteran forward Nico Batam into a two-year, $11.5 million deal and signing another veteran, Brook Lopez Center, into a two-year deal, signing $18 million worth. The team also re-signed James Harden to a two-year, $81.5 million contract earlier this month. These transactions take place shortly after the first round of playoff losses against the Denver Nuggets.
In this year’s draft, the Clippers selected Penn State’s Yannick Conan Niederhauser and Mohamed Diawala from the French team Collet Basket. The latter was traded for the New York Knicks in exchange for Kobe Sanders, who was selected 50th overall by the Knicks in one place above Dearwara.
