After vowing to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after Zoran Mamdani, the leading mayoral candidate for New York City, Netanyahu answered questions about whether he was worried.

In December, Mamdani, a Democratic candidate for New York City’s mayor, said, “As mayor, New York City will arrest Benjamin Netanyahu.”

“This is a city where our values are in line with international law, and so is our actions,” Mamdani said, referring to the International Criminal Court, which issues arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Israel’s Minister of Defense Joa Garant.

Netanyahu met with President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday evening to discuss a variety of topics, including the ongoing war with Iran and Israeli Hamas.

When asked if he was worried about the possibility of facing arrest in America’s biggest city, Netanyahu said, “I’m not worried about it.”

“I’m going to come there with President Trump,” the prime minister added.

He went on to say that the Mamdani threat is “in many ways stupid.”

Trump also said, “I don’t know who the mayor will be, but this is a communist. He is not a socialist. He is a communist and he said something really bad about Jews.”

“He might make it,” Trump said. “But you know, it’s all going through the White House. He needs money through the White House. He needs a lot.

“He’ll behave. He’ll behave. He’ll behave better. Otherwise he’ll be having a big problem.”

Listening to previous questions asked by the reporter, Netanyahu said “serious.” The question is whether Gaza has a solution for two states that does not pose an existential threat to the Israelites.

“Look, there’s enough madness in the world, but I don’t think it’s over,” he said. “After October 7th, people said that the Palestinians have Hamas province of Gaza and they see that they did it. They didn’t build it up. The Nazis, the Holocaust.”

“So people probably don’t say anything, let them give them another state. It will be a platform for destroying Israel,” he added. “We will build peace with our Palestinian neighbors, those who do not want to destroy us, and we will settle the peace that is always in our hands, the security forces of our security, our security.”

“Now people will say it’s not in perfect condition. It’s not in a state, it’s not, we don’t care,” he said. “You know, we swore, ‘Never again’. It’s not now, it’s not going to happen again. ”
