The man was arrested and affected on suspicion of assaulting a group of people with a truck during a rally in Adelanto on July 4th, and was driven.

As they approached the area, deputies reportedly saw a red pickup truck trying to drive to several people standing in the 11,000 block of Virginia Avenue.
The truck driver escaped Sheen on foot, but the deputies chased him and arrested him after a short pursuit. He was identified as 52-year-old Dante Washington, a resident of Adelanto, the department said.
Washington was arrested and booked at a high desert detention center for driving under the alleged assault with a deadly weapon and under the influence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
No injuries have been reported in the incident. The victim was not identified by name and remained confidential.
