Lamigra spread across MacArthur Park yesterday morning like a war-ready platoon.
A federal agent riding a horse that passed through the soccer field in the center with a white horse. Others were dressed as if walking across the lawn where a child’s summer camp was held just a few minutes ago. Humvee with gun turrets parked on Wilshire Boulevard.
The black Hawk helicopter mentioned above caused a stir.
It was meant to be a show of power. It was even more of a farce.
The park was almost empty thanks to social media posts that warned Los Angeles about break-ins starting Sunday. The furious Mayor Karen Bass arrived and called out to Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino, who was walking while the photographer took a shot of Gram, and told him to pull back. Activists laughed, filmed, cussed, and appeared in place of a normal crowd.
It’s like the climactic scene in “Flame Saddle,” incompetent villain Hedley Lamar tries to invade a small town with the worst Hon Bless, in addition to him, just to find the village of Potemkin. There was even a “cowboy” in the battle at MacArthur Park (when I write this, those quote marks get serious “air” times) – Clown of itself: With his straw cowboy bat and rifle over his shoulder with a rifle, assistant chief border patrol agent David Kim appeared to channel his inner Alex Villa Nuva.
This was a photo OP battle. Written in DC and paid by taxpayers.
For the past 30 days, President Donald Trump has surrounded L.A. like a massive powerhouse trying to counteract the distant rebels. More than 1,600 people have been detained, with citizens and non-citizens as well. His lucky parade – the Department of Homeland Security’s Christie Noem Department, Vice President J.D. Vance and Border Policy Advisor Tom Homan – spoke about how out of control it is and how retaliation of the pledge. California Senator Alex Padilla was boldly handcuffed to raise doubts on Norm at a press conference.
Trump and his group continue to take away the “worst, worst, worst,” but this is rarely the case. The operation doesn’t seem to be much differentiated from snatching immigrants with criminal history or stealing an armed man with a stockpile of Tamales who are trying to sell to make a living.
A masked man who grabs anyone and anyone in the way of a paramilitary force in a country where we are thought to be uncivilized. Straight invasions of workplaces, residential areas, parks and street corners. Thousands of National Guard members and hundreds of Marines called out.
The city is believed to be a warning to all other immigrant-friendly municipalities across the country.
Well, La chose something else. And Trump and his fools are getting more and more angry – and reckless.

Certainly people are scary – even scary things. It’s part of Trump’s strategy and hopes Angelenos will turn on each other by making life so miserable. Instead, they unite and lurk for more. The support network and the neighborhood watchdog group are blooming throughout the region. Everyone with a smartphone and social media account is becoming reporters, filming Ramigra in the worst cases, letting the world know what’s really going on. A lawsuit has been filed. More and more average citizens are taking part in resistance.
What’s going on reminds me that Lisa Simpson closes when workers at the Springfield nuclear power plant took a strike against Mr. Burns and his heavy man.
They may have strength, but we have strength.
I’ll get it, America: I don’t think you’ll ever come to you what’s going on in LA. And you like to see the big, bad angel town being slapped with promises of even worse. There’s a reason sports fans will recite “Brack Label City” and even New York.
But what happened yesterday at MacArthur Park is a microcosm of Trump’s vision for the rest of the country. It’s a massive NADA show that does absolutely nothing to make life better for Americans. A huge waste of money. A view more than a matter. Poison for those who dare to speak.
It should concern those who care about a functioning democracy. Includes La Hatter.
The final attack on Southern California shows that Trump gets easier when it gets harder. Certainly, the agency participating in Trump’s deportation flood, the Department of Homeland Security and its toxic alphabet soup, are stirring up social media posts featuring crude photos of the people they’ve caught along with their suspicious crimes. But that’s a way to hide the reality that these people filmed in the attack are few criminals. A time analysis of data obtained by the California Berkeley Act deportation data project found that nearly 70% of those arrested in immigrants and customs enforcement from June 1 to June 10th have no criminal convictions.
The sad irony about what happened at MacArthur Park yesterday is that it’s MacArthur Park, even if there is a place in LA that may have welcomed useful support from the federal government.
As my fellow column Stasteve Lopez has written over the years, it was a seriously troubled green space gem that city officials allowed to fester for decades, making it a no-go zone for many Angelenos. The gang has long forced businesses in their neighborhoods, terrifying everyone else, including immigrants. You’ll go through places that too many unpopular people can’t go anywhere else. Drug use is just as common as sunbathing. Earlier this year, when I walked on my way to Langers’ lunch I saw the man suck a pipe of methane in the eyesight of a LAPD officer who didn’t flash.
But this isn’t about saving MacArthur Park from the bad guys. Instead, the masked deployment in tactical gear showed Trump and his Berserkers care only about optics, including a man who leads his fellow cavalry in a straight line, whilst his colleagues raising the American flag for whipping their smartphones. The Charade looked like something from Western films. The American army conquer yet another Native American tribe.

It’s even worse. Trump’s bloated bullprop bill allocated $170 billion to immigration enforcement. Homan enjoys the idea of increasing the number of ice agents from 5,000 to 15,000. Millions of American citizens will struggle to support institutions that support budgets that go beyond the military for most of the world, as if that Migra is improving the economy or making up for Medicaid taxes and losses.
Are you still paying attention, America?
After the action at MacArthur Park, Trump’s disciples declared victory. Bovino boasted to Fox News Reporter Bill Melgin, the virtual media stenographer for Trump’s Migramission. “The Democrats’ purpose is to kill millions of illegals from developing countries to the west,” White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said on Fox News.
“Apocalypse Now” A big word from a little man acting like he’s living the fantasy.
Councilman La Eunisses Hernandez (where the district encompasses MacArthur Park) liked what he said at a city hall press conference shortly after the sweep. “As true as the sun rises in the east: “We are the canary of coal mines.
