First on FOX: While the 2026 midterm elections are still 18 months away, Super PAC, which supports the governor’s campaign for Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall, has already played big with a $1.6 million ad purchase.
Starting Wednesday, July 9th, the Oklahoma Maintenance Coalition has been making a statewide $1.6 million advertising investment for eight weeks on broadcast, cable, satellite and streaming, cable, satellite and streaming.
“Charles McCall is America’s only US first, and Oklahoma is the first candidate in the race and has a proven and conservative record,” Oklahoma Conservative Union spokesman Erin Mahersey told Fox News Digital. “This is just the beginning. With the right experience, real momentum and a winning message, McCall is built to move the distance and bring real results to Oklahoma.”
Less than a year before the Republican primary, two candidates have emerged as potential frontlines in Oklahoma’s best office competition. As a sure red state, the Republican primary winner will mostly be expected to win the general election that November.
Oklahoma Republican governor candidate Charles McCall will be taking part in the “Red, White, Boom” parade in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on June 28, 2025.

McCall announced the governor’s bid earlier this year, building “a stronger Oklahoma rooted in America’s first agenda” with a record of “working in partnership with Governor Stitt and President Trump.”

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has announced his own campaign for the governor, promoting his leadership as attorney general against “the Biden administration’s radical overreach,” and running a conservative platform that “promising to stand strong with President Trump.”
However, the McCall campaign criticized Drummond for his donation to newly elected Oklahoma Democratic Party Chairman John Waldron, and in a preliminary hearing in a federal lawsuit, in a vote to delay enforcement of a new ban on transgender surgeries for minors.
According to Oklahoman, Drummond said the agreement “will allow time to “have more time to make the strongest defense possible” and “should not be interpreted as any kind of concession.”
Earlier this summer, the US Supreme Court upheld the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s decision. St. Isidor of Seville Catholic Virtual School in Oklahoma City decided that receiving public funds was unconstitutional.
Incumbent Governors Kevin Stitt, R. Okra and Drummond were trapped in a feud over a landmark case as they continued their longstanding clashes over Oklahoma’s policy and politics, including debates over constitutional authority and local policy initiatives.

Stitt, who serves as vice-chairman of the National Association of Governors, is subject to term restriction in 2026 as governor of Oklahoma.
Earlier this year, the Conservative Political Action Council approved McCall’s campaign, and his super PAC highlighted his conservative policies as House Speaker on issues such as American farmland protection, school choices, tax cuts and the pro-life bill.
