New details have been released regarding the disappearance of a Southern California man who has not been seen for more than two months.
Ny Ping Hou, 74, of Rancho Cucamonga, was reported missing by his family on May 4, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 9, detectives confirmed that “large fraudulent transactions” had been carried out using Hou’s bank account at the time of his loss.
Investigators believe Hou’s mobile phone was used by an unknown suspect who pretended to communicate with the family involved.

The agent is also seeking information about the silver Toyota Yaris in connection with the man’s loss disappearance.
Hou is said to be Asian, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has dark hair and dark eyes, and has a birth mark on his upper left shoulder.
Investigators confirmed they followed several leads as the search continued.
