Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Beverly Hills Fire Department on Wednesday cooperated to put out the flames from a small brush fire that broke out in the Hillside residential community in the Bivergreen.
The fire was reported at 1:30pm on San Isidro Drive as the slowly moving brush fire burned a quarter acre.
There was no immediate threat to the house, but the firefighters acted quickly as the fire burned over the steep terrain.
According to LAFD, LAFD said after LAFD ground and air force worked with Beverly Hills firefighters, they were able to stop the fire advance through “a proper direct attack on the flames.”

The fire eventually burned medium grass from an acre of light.
The crew had planned to search for hot spots until the fire was completely locked in, the fire department said.
San Ysidro Road closed both directions of traffic between Summitridge Drive and Tower Road until the LAFD operation was completed.
