The White House claims that last month’s Midnight Hammer “eliminates” Iran’s nuclear site, despite new reports from the New York Times, suggesting that Israeli officials have concluded that some enriched uranium survived the targeted US attack.
According to the Times, some of the enriched uranium stockpiles near the underground bomb survived the bomb dropped by a B-2 stealth bomber on June 21, 2025.
When asked about the report, White House deputy reporter Anna Kelly told Fox News, “As President Trump has said many times, the Midnight Hammer has completely wiped out Iran’s nuclear facilities. The whole world is safer thanks to his decisive leadership.”
The White House message reiterates what President Donald Trump said from the night of the attack. In other words, Iran’s nuclear site has “completely disappeared.”

President Donald Trump was joined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses in a speech to the nation in the East Room of the White House in Washington, DC on June 21.
Operation Midnight Hammer began on June 21 at 12:01am when the B-2 stealth bomber took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Some of the bombers flew west and headed towards the Pacific Ocean as decoys.
The flight required the aircraft to be refueled multiple times without landing, and overland, strike groups linked with the escorts and assisted the aircraft from the central headquarters.
Around 5pm ET, US submarines launched more than 20 Tomahawk Land Attack Cruise Missiles against major surface infrastructure targets as the major Strike Force entered Iranian airspace.
Midnight Hammer is “Completed Mission”, but there is one big red flag

As the B-2 Strike Group approached Fordow and Natanz, additional tactics were used to deceive the Iranian army. A total of 14 large weapon intruders (MOP) weapons commonly known as bunkerbusters were dropped at Fordow and Natanz, but the Tomahahawk missile, launched by a US submarine, finally launched an attack, attacking the target at Isfahan.
After the mission, Trump posted about the true society that the US military implemented “large precision facilities, Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, at three major nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime.”
Trump also addressed the country on television and promoted the success of Operation Midnight Hammer.
“Iran’s nuclear enrichment facility has been completely wiped out,” Trump said. “And now, Iran, a bully in the Middle East, must make peace, or future attacks will be much bigger and much easier.”

President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegses have opposed the “fake news” media since the attacks began questioning the US’s destruction of the country’s nuclear program on Iran.
At the NATO summit last month, Hegseth denounced CNN and the New York Times, claiming he would work to “find a way to spin” the news.
“There’s a reason why the president makes fake news about what it is,” Heggs said. “These pilots, these refuelers, these fighters, these air defensemen. The skills and courage needed to go to enemy territory, which fly 36 hours to steal nuclear programs on behalf of the Americans and the world, is beyond what anyone in this audience can speculate.”

“And the instinct, CNN’s instinct, the instinct of the New York Times is to try and find a way to spin it for their own political reasons, in order to try and hurt President Trump and our country,” he added. “They don’t care what the military thinks. They don’t care what the world thinks. They want to spin it and try to make him look bad based on the leak.
“Of course, we all saw a lot of leaks. And what? [do] Will there be a leak? They have an agenda. And what do they do? Do they share all the information, or do they share only the parts they want to introduce? ”
