Footage of the tragic dashcam captured a horrific crash that included a semi-truck that killed at least two people, and an unknown number of people injured in Riverside County Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at 6:30am, as a driver on a large rig pulled a large trailer and was moving in the westbound lane of the highway east of Date Palm near Catedral City, according to the California Highway Patrol.
In footage of the crash obtained by KTLA, the cic driver is seen in the far right lane across all lanes towards the center guardrail as the vehicle loses control for a currently unknown reason and the trailer pulls begins to fall.

The large rig destroyed the guardrail with an explosion of dirt and debris, and slid into eastbound traffic coming along its passenger side, where several drivers quickly collided at high speed.

CHP executive David Torres said two men were killed, one of whom was killed behind the wheels of a mercury SUV and a passenger from a Toyota Camry was killed. Both victims were kicked out of the car, police said.
Crush Aftermath footage shows that both vehicles were completely broken and destroyed.
Authorities have yet to say how many others were injured in the crash crash, but preliminary reports suggest that several people suffered various severity injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Officials have not yet identified the driver for the big rig and have not said he is among those injured.
The crash, which prompted Sigalert, completely halted local traffic as CHP investigated the crash and Caltrans crew worked to clear a massive wreckage field.
Before 2:30pm, authorities reopened all lanes in the area.
The identities of the two deceased victims are pending next in the notice of close relatives.
