Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass signed an executive order on Friday, supporting immigrant neighbours, including strengthening protocols and providing cash assistance, and providing cash assistance in response to a Trump administration attack that illegally targeted people living in the United States.
The order is intended to help protect the city’s workforce and residents from the federal government during immigration enforcement. The federal agency also requires that it provide records of raids detained and provide taxpayer taxpayer costs and expenses.
“We need to have an executive order to help our cities understand how to protect themselves from the federal government,” Bus said at a news conference. “We’ve seen it last here, and now there’s a six-week attack, and we don’t know exactly when or where it will happen.

“This directive will help city workers know how to deal with immigrant staff if they approach the mayor,” she added.
The order also calls for training in how city departments will develop protocol plans and comply with Los Angeles Sanctuary City Ordinances.
Additionally, Bass’ plans to provide cash assistance to those affected by his executive operations have been resolved, the Los Angeles Times reported. The “several hundred” dollar cash cards will be distributed by immigration rights groups in about a week, Bass said.
She said the money comes from charity partners, not from city funding.
“You say it’s not a Babylonbee headline?” A White House spokesman told Fox News Digital, referring to the satirical news site. “Recent immigration enforcement in California has managed to detain countless violent criminals and free children from illegal labour exploitation. But rather than helping these children or putting American citizens first, Bus is doubling the defense of illegal aliens.

“Americans are tired of these pathetic stunts from Democratic politicians. That’s why they elected President Trump,” the spokesman added. “They want someone to put America first. That’s certainly not Karen, Gavin & Company.”
Base condemned immigration operations targeting illegal criminal immigrants in the city. Los Angeles is one of several cities that have sued the Trump administration over “illegal” attacks.
On Thursday, immigration agents stormed a cannabis farm in nearby Ventura County, targeting illegal immigrants working there. Eight of those people said eight unaccompanied undocumented minors were found on the farm, according to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Rodney Scott.
The farm is currently being investigated for potential child labour violations.
Earlier in the week, nearly 100 National Guard and immigration officials targeted MacArthur Park, accusing buses of crime, and were denied by the chief of U.S. Border Patrol Gregory Bovino.

“I don’t work at Karen Bass,” Bovino told Fox News at the time. “This will be normal soon, so try and get used to us now. We’ll go anywhere and anytime in Los Angeles.”
