A farm worker who fell 30 feet from the roof during immigration enforcement operations in Ventura County on Thursday remains hospitalized with “devastating” injuries, the family told NBCLA.

The man was hospitalized in dangerous conditions after suffering from a broken neck, a fractured skull and an amputated artery, nie said. She said he remained on life support Friday afternoon.

Farm workers’ families assumed he was detained by federal agents Thursday during the attack in Camarillo after he stopped replying to their text messages, his nie said.

Federal agents arrested about 200 people at the Glass House Farm facility in Camarillo and Carpinteria, according to federal authorities. The agent served as a criminal warrant as part of an investigation into potential immigration and child labor violations, DHS said.

“We thought they’d caught him…but we got a call from the hospital that he was in a critical state, a catastrophic injury.” “He’s not going to make it.”

His wife and daughter in Mexico were informed of his condition, Isenia said. Over $31,100 has been raised through crowdsourcing for health and burial services held in Mexico.

Earlier Friday, a spokesperson for the Unified Farm Worker said the man died after he was hospitalized. The NBCLA reached out to his nie.

On Friday morning, United Farm Workers confirmed that several workers were seriously injured during the execution at Camarillo on Thursday.

Four other people were taken to hospital, three others were treated and released on scene, according to the Ventura County Fire Department. As of Friday morning, details about their condition were not readily available.

“There are no cities, states, or federal districts that are brown and working in agriculture that are legal to terrorize and detain people,” UFW said in its statement. “These attacks must stop soon.”

The UFW can confirm that farm workers were seriously injured during a chaotic attack in Ventura County, California yesterday. Other workers, including US citizens, remain unexplained.

The union said many workers were detained on the farm by federal authorities for more than eight hours, including US citizens.

According to the UFW, civil workers reported it was released after being forced to remove photos and videos from the attack from phones, but some remained “not explained at all.”

Thursday’s attack is considered to be the biggest immigrant raid under the Trump administration.
