Authorities said a man was killed Saturday night after being attacked by multiple dogs at a Lancaster residence.
Authorities responded to the 44,000 block of 22nd Avenue around 10:30pm to respond to a dog’s appeal to attack someone in the backyard of the house.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man in the backyard with four dogs.
One of the dogs became vicious, and deputies urged a round shot with the dog’s legs. The dogs were scattered and the doctors were able to reach the victim.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was injured.
The video showed an animal control officer removing several dogs and puppies from the facility after the incident.
Neighbors tell NBC4 that law enforcement frequently visits property.
“We saw them start taking their dogs out. Unfortunately, a few of the dogs didn’t make it,” said the neighbor who didn’t want to be identified. “They had to take care of the business to try and save the man’s life, but some kids were in a house that we had never seen before.
Police said the man was known to residents of the house. It is still unknown why he was in the backyard.
