Getty Villa, which reopened in June after a limited time after the Palisades fire closure, will resume its normal operating schedule on Wednesday.
Starting Wednesday, the villa will be open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday through Monday. The villa will also increase the number of daily bookings available.
The villa reopened to a sold-out crowd on June 27th, but was only open from 10am to 5pm Friday through Monday.
The museum escaped major damage from the Palisade fire, but the property was forced to close in the aftermath of the fire, and after being covered in soot and ashes, it needed to be cleaned.
The limited time was also intended to reduce weekday traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Its latest exhibition, “The Kingdom of Pyros: Warriors of Ancient Greek) will continue to be on display until January 12th.
The Villa will also be holding a Drop-in Piros Perfume Workshop on Saturday, July 19th, from 11am to 3pm, and a Family Printing Workshop on Saturday, July 27th, from 11am to 3pm.
Admission to the villa is free, but reservations are required. Bookings can be made online or by calling 310-440-7300.
Parking is $25 or $15 after 3pm
