President Trump on Monday suggested that First Lady Melania Trump was convinced that Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to support his promises of a potential peace deal with Ukraine.
Trump had met with NATO Executive Director Mark Latte when he spoke with reporters about the ongoing war.
He explained that his wife pointed to Putin’s false promise following Trump’s call with the Russian leader in a call for a deal to end the conflict.

“I’m going home. I say to the First Lady, “You know, I spoke to Vladimir today. We had a great conversation,” she said, “Oh, I was really attacked.”
“I sometimes go home. ‘First Lady, I had the most amazing story with Vladimir. I think we’re done.’ And I either turn on the TV or she’ll tell me once, ‘They just bombed the nursing home, so that’s weird,’ Trump recalled in another conversation. “I say, ‘What?’ ”
Moscow repeatedly attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles following calls between Putin and Trump.
Trump says we’ll send Patriot missiles to Ukraine, Putin tells us a good story, then he adds that he will bomb everyone.

Last week, Trump seemed annoyed, saying he wasn’t happy with Putin because he was killing a lot of people.
He said he is considering giving Ukraine more assistance to help resist the Russian attack. On Monday, Trump confirmed that Putin agreed to sell arms to NATO just after he said there were 50 days to secure a 50-day “100%” tariff to secure a peace deal with Ukraine.
“This is once again the European countries are rising up,” Latte said. “I’m in touch with many countries. At this moment, Germany, Finland and Denmark, Sweden and Norway can also talk to you. There’s Canada’s Netherlands Kingdom.

“And this is just the first wave. There’s more,” confirmed Latte. “So, what we do is to make sure we know what Ukrainians need through the NATO system.”
