Start accepting FIFA World Cup 26 LA ticket application – NBC Los Angeles

Football fans looking to participate in the 2026 World Cup can begin applying for tickets starting September 10th.

Tickets for next year’s event, co-hosted by the US, Mexico and Canada, will be released in stages due to high demand, according to FIFA.

“We look forward to welcoming the world to North America as Canada, Mexico and the United States host what will become the biggest and greatest sporting event ever,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement.

At the 2025 World Cup, FIFA used dynamic pricing, but ticket prices vary depending on demand, causing dramatic changes in costs. It was not immediately known whether the soccer organization would plan to use the same model.

Currently, ticket platforms such as StubHub are selling tickets ranging from $600 to $1,000 or more for games scheduled to be hosted on Sofi Stadium.

However, there was no official release of tickets by FIFA. This is because the organization emphasizes that fans should only purchase tickets on the official website. Tickets and hospitality packages purchased from unofficial platforms may be void.

“We encourage fans to prepare to secure their place everywhere. These will be the most coveted seats in world sports,” Infantino said.

Los Angeles is set to host eight World Cup games at Sophie Stadium. This includes the highly anticipated opening match of the US men’s national team and its final group game.

Inglewood Stadium is also scheduled for three other group stage matches, two rounds of 32 matches and one quarterfinal match.

The major international tournaments begin on June 11th, with the opening game held at the Estudio Aztec in Mexico City.

Next year’s tournament will expand to 48 countries for the first time, with 104 matches being played over six weeks between hosting in three countries.

The final will take place on July 19th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

So far, Canada, Mexico, the US, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador and World Cup owner Argentina have booked spots for upcoming tournaments.

The prestigious soccer tournament, held every four years, is set to return in the US after hosting an iconic sporting event more than 30 years ago.

At the 1994 World Cup, LA held seven games, including the final at the Rose Bowl.
