Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton recently announced the launch of a survey of more than 100 potential non-citizens who allegedly voted at least 200 in the 2020 and 2022 election cycles.
The majority of illegal votes cast by potential non-citizens were in Harris County, but Paxton’s office is also investigating possible cases using information from Guadalupe, Cameron and Eastland counties, according to a news release.
The discovery was made possible by an executive order that directed President Donald Trump to provide the State with a save database of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to the State.

Paxton, a Republican who opposes Republican John Cornyn’s fellow Republicans in the Senate primary, said Texans who vote illegally are responsible.
“Illegal aliens and foreigners should not be allowed to exempt illegal voting and affect Texas elections. I will not allow them to continue,” Paxton said in the release.

“Thanks to President Trump’s decisive action to help the nation protect the ballot box, the investigation will help Texas hold non-citizens accountable for voting illegally in American elections,” he continued. “If you’re a non-citizen who threw the vote illegally, you’ll face the full power of the law.”
In June, Paxton began an investigation into 33 additional potential non-citizens allegedly voted illegally in the 2024 general election.
