If you’re like us, summer temperatures have begun to reach you. Luckily, Smolgasburg LA has a great way to beat the heat. Typically popular outdoor food markets include favorites such as Cena Vegan, Daddy’s Chicken Shack, Black Sugar Ribs Co, and Baohaus. Now it’s time for ice cream glow.

Aside from the flavorful food and salty food, Lau DTLA’s Smolgasburg has become a focus of ice cream. This popular food venue is in the midst of an annual event for Angelenos, who enjoys creamy frozen treats. Smolgasburg LA, which runs until August 31st, has an ice cream alley.

“Every year since opening in 2016, Smolgasburg has been celebrating the summer by creating a special area of the market dedicated to sweet frozen treats,” Zack Brooks, general manager of Smolgasburg LA, said in a press release.

Initially, the event was a National Ice Cream Day event, but it was so popular that it became a two-month summer pop-up throughout Labor Day weekend. The lineup includes full-time frozen treat vendors and special guests at the food venue.

If you’d like to try guest vendors that include 626 hospitality groups, or if you’re trying out chef-driven soft servos, you’ll need to visit ice cream alleys in the coming weeks. And the extremely popular Mateo ice cream and fruit bar.

When visiting the ice cream alleys, you will still be able to enjoy the sweet, frozen treat from some of your favorite resident vendors. Known for its chef-led granita shave ice cream, Barneys will be available not only for Moom Maam Thai Gelato and Sad Girl Creamery. As summer progresses, more special events and guests will be announced.

The ice cream alleys line up with over 50 regular food and drink vendors in Smolgasburg LA. Stop by between 10am and 4pm and chill it with creamy, delicious and most importantly cold!
