An illegal alien, Ronald Joseph, was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to raping his teenage daughter and making her pregnant while living in a government-run Massachusetts immigration shelter.
Joseph, a 44-year-old Haitian national, lived in a government-run hotel in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
The crime took place between 2023 and 2024, but Joseph was not arrested until January 31, 2025.
In a statement Thursday, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Marlborough Police Chief David Giorge confirmed that Joseph pleaded guilty to aggravating rape of a child by sexually assaulting the 14-year-old victim. According to the statement, Judge Kenneth Salinger of Massachusetts Superior Court has sentenced Joseph to prison from July 11th.

The statement placed extensive ultrasounds during the investigation, placing conceptual time within the time frame when the child and Joseph lived together in the shelter.
After the baby was born, a mouth swab was taken and tested by the victim, her child, Joseph. This was determined to be 23 trillion times more than Joseph was the biological father of his daughter’s baby.
According to the Boston Globe, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement also submitted immigrant detention against Joseph. The outlet reported that a spokesperson for the ice had entered the United States in May 2023 without valid documents, but was granted entry to the country and was given a date to appear before an immigration judge.
Earlier this year, John Featherton, a former Massachusetts employee who ran the Marlboro Shelter when the crime was discovered, told Fox News Digital that when he stood up to Joseph, Haitian immigrants grabbed him and attacked him.
A report obtained by Fox News Digital by the Massachusetts Housing and Living Communities Enforcement Office confirmed further that Joseph was “very upset and began screaming” after being notified that he would lose access to his daughter.

Featherton told Fox News Digital as soon as he heard that Joseph had lost custody of his daughter, “I reached across the table and got mad at me, and started yelling and screaming because I realized what was going on.”
Rather than arresting Joseph immediately, Featherton said he had been instructed by authorities to order Lyft’s ride to immigrants to another shelter in Worcester County.
“To be honest, the whole experience has shaken me to my heart,” Featherton said.
After Joseph’s ruling, Featherton told Fox News Digital that “Ronald Joseph’s arrest is not an isolated incident,” but that “it’s a by-product of a reckless, opaque and false system that has been operating without accountability for too long.”

“The crimes that occurred within these state-funded shelters were intense, frequent and deeply concerned with the public,” Featherton said. “From sexual assault to drug trafficking and violent behavior, the state has failed both for immigrants and for Massachusetts taxpayers.”
Joseph is not the only illegal immigrant to commit a crime while living in a shelter in Massachusetts. In December, 28-year-old Dominican National Leonard Andoujar Sanchez stored AR-15, ammunition and about $1 million in fentanyl at another state-run hotel in Libya, Massachusetts.

In May, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healy, a Democrat who has been critical of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, announced that the state would close the remaining 32 shelters this summer. Healy cited the reduced need for shelter. According to a statement from her office, the number of families at the shelter fell below 5,000.
Commenting on the shelter closure, Featherton told Fox News Digital that the plan “suggests more questions than answers.”

“Where are these unexplored individuals going? Massachusetts has one of the lowest housing stocks in the country. Do they really believe that after two years of failure to properly accommodate residents, the state has resolved the crisis overnight?” he said. “This is not a policy. It’s a political gaslight.”
