The victim of the fatal parking shooting was identified as Hawthorn’s mother, officials confirmed with KTLA on Saturday morning.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Amber LaFlora was 37 when he was fatally shot early Friday.
Officials did not immediately reveal details about Rafra’s family, but comments from her social media friends indicate that she may have been a mother of six. KTLA is still working to independently confirm this information.
Her mother was killed after being argued with another woman (VIP Sports Bar) outside the bar, after which she was killed after LaFlora’s social media post suggests she plans to hold an upcoming birthday party in August. Other social media stories showed LaFlora singing karaoke at the bar before violence erupted.
According to a preliminary report, debate began inside the bar, with LaFlora going to the parking lot and sitting in the car when another altercation broke out between her and the suspect, causing the shooting.
According to an unconfirmed report from Stringer Service Tnla, one witness said Laflora was “forcedly dragged” from the vehicle and shot at least three times in the abdomen. Authorities did not review or comment on this information.

It happened around 1:50am in the 11,000 block of South Englewood Avenue, according to the LA County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and Hawthorne police responded to reports of shooting death outside a sports bar at a shopping centre, finding LaFlora suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot and were immediately declared dead by paramedics.
No suspects have been arrested or publicly appointed as of Saturday morning. A LASD spokesman said the suspect, an adult woman, escaped from the scene with a gorgeous silver vehicle.
“We knew there were at least 40-50 people in this car park, so we’re looking for the help of the public,” said Steve De John’s Inter.
Footage from the TNLA showed the presence of a large law enforcement agency in the shopping centre’s parking area so that bar visitors and other members could be seen leaving the area. However, some remained gathered around the scene, possibly waiting to talk to investigators. A series of warning tapes were also seen around the parking lot.
LASD asks anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Department at 323-890-5500.
