A California prison prison inmate was allegedly killed by two other inmates Friday evening, the California Department of Corrections said.
Three inmates — Boris Bonilla, Carlos J. Duran and Brian J. Digues, were in the dayroom at Folsom State Jail before 6:30pm, according to a CDCR Media release.
“Staff quickly quelled the incident and immediately began life-saving measures at Diguez,” a CDCR media release said. “He was taken to the prison triage and treatment area and was declared dead at 7:09pm by a Folsom Fire Department official.”
According to the CDCR, the prisoner’s weapons were recovered at the scene.

Diguez, 34, was originally received from Los Angeles County on July 25, 2016, after being sentenced to 21 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter charges, and then strengthened his felony power of attorney through strengthening the Street Gang Act.
His accusers, Bonilla and Duran, were moved to restricted housing following the incident, and movements in the area where the attack occurred have been restricted to facilitate CDCR investigations.

Bonilla, 48, was recently received from LA County on May 17, 2012 for causing intentional discharge of a firearm, who had requested a serious felony, after being recently sentenced to life in prison for possible parole for first-degree murder, which involves increased intentional discharge of a firearm.
Duran was sentenced to two years in prison for a parole violation of vehicle theft following his previous conviction of vehicle related theft. The 32-year-old was recently received from Santa Clara County on February 3, 2022.
The Folsom prison is California’s second oldest prison, and primarily houses male prisoners of moderate security general population Level II and Level III.
