Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenager on Riverside.
They were identified as 20-year-old Francisco Gallegos and 21-year-old Brian Torres Arroyo, according to the Riverside Police Department.
On May 28, 2023, police responded to a shooting in an alley near Chicago Avenue and Linden Street around 5:13pm.
The officers discovered two teenage boys, ages 17 and 18. Both were taken to the hospital.
The 18-year-old, later identified as Isaiah Alviso of Riverside, died of injuries. The other teens survived. Both suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
“Detectives initially had limited accounts for the suspect and the shooting looked like it was gang-related, so they ran out of all the leads available,” Riverside police said.
