Two people were killed and another injured on the Air Expressway in San Bernardino County, authorities confirmed Sunday morning.
The collision between the two vehicles was reported to the Victorville Police Department Saturday at 8:47pm, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, firefighters and paramedics responded to an appeal in the Air Expressway area east of Adelanto Ranch Road and found two severely damaged vehicles, a Gold Mercedes CLK320 and a Silver Honda Accord – and three patients in the west lane of the highway.

“Destiny Simon, an adult man and a driver of the Honda Accord, a passenger on the Mercedes CLK320, was declared a serious injury and died at the scene of the crash,” SBSD said in the release. None of the adult male drivers and solo residents of Honda have been identified.
Simon, a Mercedes passenger, has been identified as an 18-year-old resident of San Bernardino. The Mercedes driver was identified as 19-year-old Jalen Kendall of Helendale and was taken to St. Mary’s medical center due to injury. Authorities did not determine the severity of his injury or his condition.
Details are limited and crashes are under investigation. The Air Expressway between Gas Line and North D Street was closed for several hours, according to SBSD.
Anyone with information or may have witnessed a crash will be asked to contact Deputy C. Stanley or Deputy J. Stroke at the Victorville Police Station.
