Among Epstein Fallout, Trump’s admin will be Maga’s biggest hit – NBC Los Angeles

Faced with backlash from Magazine supporters over handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, President Donald Trump and his administration have announced a flood of information about the old complaints and issues popular with the base.

Overnight, Trump used his true social social media platform to attack Sen. Adam Schiff on D-Calif and posted a fake AI-generated video showing former President Barack Obama, who was arrested by the FBI and shares mugshots of various Democrats who have served as Republican Bodiemen for many years.

Trump also placed emphasis on the name of another MAGA favorite, a sports team, threatening to block a deal to build a new soccer stadium in DC unless the Washington commander changes his name to the Redskins. The team dropped its name in 2019 after years of criticism that it was racist.

President Donald Trump is threatening to keep the new stadium deal for the Washington Commander NFL team if they don’t restore the old names. News4’s Joseph Olmo reports.

Epstein’s conversation has weakened since last week after having to compete with many MAGA supporters who were furious that the Trump administration hasn’t released more information about Epstein. On Friday, Trump sued the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch after publishing an article in 2003 that he wrote to Jeffrey Epstein, which contained a painting of a naked woman.

By Monday, it appears that many prominent MAGA social media accounts have moved out of the Epstein issue, instead focusing on some of the other topics the Trump administration is pushing forward.

“Trump posting random things to distract you is like saying the sun rises to ruin your sleep schedule,” the former Trump adviser said. “That’s exactly what it does.”

On Friday, National Intelligence Director Tarshi Gabbard revisited the 2016 election and called on several Obama aides to face charges related to Russian interference in the campaign.

“As always been the case, President Trump was right about the biggest witch hunt in American history and the clear involvement of the Obama territorial administration in the origins of a decade-long sham saga that tore our people and undermine the will of the people,” said White House spokesman Harrison Fields. “The President and his entire administration are committed to unearthing fraud and to take personal responsibility for this gross abuse of this power and blatant conspiracy against President Trump and his supporters.”

The Justice Department and other agencies released the files that have been the subject of the conspiracy on Monday. But they were not Epstein documents. They are documents about Hillary Clinton, with over 230,000 pages related to the assassination of Attorney General Pam Bondy, Martin Luther King Jr., being a specific target for mag-based rage.

“The Americans have waited nearly 60 years to see the full scope of the federal investigation into the assassination of Dr. King,” Gabbard, who was also involved in the release, said in a statement. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we ensure that the stones do not turn over to our mission to bring complete transparency about this pivotal and tragic event in our country’s history.”

Civil rights leader and MSNBC host Pastor Al Sharpton criticized the release of the King’s documents, saying the Trump administration was simply trying to change the subject.

“We need to clarify that Trump’s release of the MLK assassination file is not about transparency or justice, but rather a hopeless attempt to deflect people to unleash his credibility between the Epstein Files and Magazine Bases into the public,” he said in a statement Monday.

Earlier this month, the Department of Justice released a memo saying that a “client list” of powerful men allegedly participating in Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme had not been displayed.

That conclusion came despite the fact that in February Bondi told Fox News that Epstein’s client list was “sitting on my desk right now” and was waiting for reviews and releases.

NBC News recently reported that Trump was unhappy with Bondi’s handling of the Epstein case and hoped she would be responsible for wiping away the confusion.

On Monday, the Justice Department also announced that R-Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley had sent a compiled report on how he handled files as Secretary of State, regarding the processing of files related to “former FBI Director James Comey failed to investigate Hillary Clinton’s advanced classification information.”

“I commend Chairman Grassley for his unwavering, long-standing commitment to retaining those who try to reveal the truth and hide their responsibility for it,” Bondy said. “This Department of Justice is fully committed to transparency and will continue to support well-intentioned efforts in Congress to ensure accountability across the federal government.”

In a post on X, Grassley wrote, “Pres Trump/Pam Bondi + Kash Patel and others have finally achieved that,” thanking her dedication to transparency.

An appendix to the 2018 report from the Department of Justice Inspector General includes the FBI handling of thumb drive devices discovered during the course of Clinton’s email investigation.

“It’s all a distraction and when you buy them to talk about Epstein or have an angry mob talk about Epstein, they release anything.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said, “If Epstein is in the mood for release, is it next?”

Late last week, Bondy, along with Interior Secretary Doug Burgham, visited Alcatraz, now a tourist destination in San Francisco Bay, and advanced the administration’s plans to reopen the site as a federal prison. Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) criticized the administration as an effort to “distract” from Epstein’s controversy and other news.

White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said President Donald Trump wanted to reopen Alcatraz as a federal prison for both criminal and undocumented individual Americans before his deportation.

“During the Epstein Files, between economic indicators – prices go up – let’s distract you with the classic Trump style. Let’s talk about something else. Alcatraz is not a serious proposal,” Padilla told CNN last week. “The cost of introducing it to a minimum standard as a detention facility. We’ve heard from Republicans all year round. They want to reduce their federal budgets. They’re looking to cut costs.

Trump has also received help here and there in distracting attention from the Epstein Saga when Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden and the target of scrutiny in the Magazine movement, makes fresh headlines.

In an interview with YouTube’s “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan,” released Monday, the young Biden suggested that sleeping pill Ambien would denounce his father’s poor debate performance against Trump last year. That debate led to Biden’s decision to end his reelection campaign a year ago on Monday.

“No one is more than Donald Trump,” wrote Sarah Longwell, an anti-Trump commentator and founder of Bluwork, in X.

Amanda Terkell, Scott Wong and Frank Thorpe V contributed.
