Rep. Locanna reverberated on the establishment of the Democrats in a speech to voters at tomorrow’s summit for young progressives in Washington, DC
“Can we trust governments do big things when governments become corrupt? My friend needs to remove the big money in politics for those who want a progressive future, and for those who work to build the security and opportunity for the working class,” Kanna said in his speech Friday afternoon.
The California Democrat then mentioned Jeffrey Epstein’s files. Jeffrey Epstein has become a major point in the discussion in Washington as he requests more information about the incident.
Pelosi predicts Jeffries will become a speaker, and is confident in his chances to win Dems’ home.

“We must restore government for people, people, people. The release of the Epstein Files is not a magical cure for trust, but it is the first step. This is the first step to saying there is a new era of transparency,” he continued.
Kanna then openly called for the establishment of his party with his deadline call.
“I end with this clear point. The old guards need to go. The old ways are not working. This party needs a new rebirth. This party needs a rebirth to support human rights,” he said. “This party needs regeneration to support the working class. This party needs regeneration to support the donor class.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to make a virtual statement at Friday’s summit, with former speaker Nancy Pelosi also a leading speaker at the event.
“We’re sure to win the election together with the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said in her speech. “no doubt.”

“It’s important to make the year strong in advance, because that’s when the military is lined up. We have a message, we have mobilization, we need money to do that, but they go next to the school to maintain the most important part: the candidates continued,” she continued.
Young Democrats like freshman Arizona Rep. Yassamine Ansari and Illinois Legislator candidate Kat Abugazare took part in the summit panel.
Kanna’s speech comes as Democrats navigate the Second Trump administration and strive to adapt to the major changes that occurred across voter demographics in the 2024 election.
Some of the parties encourage a more gentle direction, while others reflect Kanna’s populist sentiment.
