The 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with a home robbery and assault that occurred early Thursday in an unedited area of a desert hot spring.
Deputies at Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a break-in at a home in the 69,500 block of Dillon Road around 2am on July 24th. Authorities say the victim reported that her ex-boyfriend had entered the residence and assaulted both her and her current boyfriend while they were asleep.
By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had fled the scene. One of the victims was seriously injured and was taken to a local hospital where they were reported to be in stable condition.

The incident was carried over to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Robbery and Robbery Control Team, identifying the suspect as desert hot spring resident Isaac Murrell. With support from Gang Task Force Region 1 and Riverside Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau, Murrell was arrested and arrested without incident in the 17,000 block of Palm Drive.
Murrell was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center for alleged robbery and assault for causing serious physical injuries.
