The man, who was believed to be armed and involved in a domestic violence incident, barricaded inside a Hawaiian Gardens residence Friday morning, urging a tactical response by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies at Lakewood Station were first dispatched to the 12,000 block of 226th Avenue around 10:52am on July 25th, according to the Sheriff’s Intelligence Department. Due to the nature of the situation, the Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) was called to assist.
SEB officials accepted the tactical orders on the ground, but members of the crisis negotiation team tried to contact the suspects to lead the case to a peaceful resolution.

Authorities said the surrounding area was evacuated to the safety of nearby residents. As of Friday afternoon, there were no confirmation of injuries or arrests, and law enforcement officials indicated that the situation was still ongoing and developing.
