NBA star Chris Paul is scheduled to speak at 3pm on Monday as he plans to return to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Paul is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Clippers as his 21 seasons could be the last of his career.
The 12 All-Stars had a great year with the Clippers in 2011-17. This earned five All-Star selections, five All-NBA nods and six first-team All-Defense honors. The “Rob City” Clippers once turned a franchise as Paul and Blake Griffin led the team three times.
Paul, who turned 40 in May, is away from the productive 2024-25 season with the San Antonio Spurs. Paul started all 82 games for the Spurs, averaging 8.8 points and 7.4 assists for the younger team.
Over his first 20 seasons, Paul piled up praise and became the guaranteed First Barot Hall of Fame. He has a 9.2 REB career with 17.0 points with the New Orleans Hornets (2005-11), Clippers (2011-17), Houston Rockets (2017-19), Oklahoma City Thunder (2019-20), Phoenix Suns (2020-23), Golden State Warriors (2023-24), and Spurs (2024-25).
Paul, a member of the NBA’s 75th anniversary team, led the league with five assists and stole six times. The only thing that escaped him was the title, and came in 2021 when his closest call was lost in the Milwaukee Bucks’ NBA Finals.
