Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting at a house party near the University of Southern California campus.
According to preliminary information, officers responded to a home along Budron Avenue before 2am.
At 2:38am, the USC Public Safety Bureau introduced members of the community warning of police activity north of Jefferson Boulevard in the area of 29th Avenue, between Budron and Walton Avenue, just west of the University Park campus. People living in the area were told to leave the scene.
Reports from the scene show that there were more than 100 people at the party when the shootout exploded. At least one person was injured. The victim is believed to have become independent at California Medical Center in downtown Los Angeles.
There was no immediate information about their identity or status. Furthermore, there were no accounts of possible suspects.

Video footage and reports from newsstringer service KeyNews show that many participants were upset and some people were trying to wash their blood when police arrived. These reports were not immediately confirmed by law enforcement.

At least two people have been detained. However, it is unclear whether they were officially arrested.
Police cleared the scene around 4am, according to the USC Public Safety Bureau.
