A group of former FBI, intelligence reporting agencies, diplomats and national security officials have released a letter blowing up FBI director Kash Patel and deputy director Dan Bongino.
The group, which is in a stable state, claims that Brian Driscoll, Michael Feinberg and Walter Giardina were fired as part of a campaign to dismantle the FBI’s “long-standing independence” and set it as a “tool of political loyalty.”
Steady-state also claimed that agents were canned because they were not loyal to President Donald Trump. He then accused Patel and Bongino of appointing them to powerful roles despite not meeting “basic standards” and not leading “world premiere law enforcement agencies.”
“It’s not about reform, it’s about control. The purpose seems to be to change the FBI from a respected, constitutional investigative service to a personal enforcement unit of political figures,” reads the letter. “We’ve seen these dynamics overseas. Leaders who demand loyalty to security services themselves, not law. These regimes don’t end well.”

“The FBI has long been a breakwater against such corruption. It is an institution that balances the rule of law with civil liberties with the demands of national security,” the letter continued. “That independence is not a bureaucratic feature. It is a democratic need.”
The stable state told FBI friends and colleagues that they were aware of the underlying pressure.
“The country is inspired by the FBI, it is inspired by the FBI, and history is remembered,” the letter concluded.
Last Thursday, the FBI expelled former acting director Driscoll and other Driscolls, including Giardina, a special FBI agent who played a role in the investigation of Trump Trade Advisor Peter Navarro. He also let go of Steve Jensen, acting director for the Washington Field office.

Driscoll served as acting director for the FBI prior to Patel’s confirmation, and Jensen played a key role in the January 6th investigation.
A senior FBI official told the trio he must leave by Friday.

The FBI, Bongino, and Patel declined to comment on Fox News Digital’s questions regarding steady-state claims and why the agent was removed from his position.
MSNBC journalist Ken Dilanian shared a copy of the letter from Patel to Giardina on social media.
“This document provides an official notice that it has been immediately rejected and removed from the Federal Services under my authority as FBI Director,” Patel wrote. You exercised inadequate judgment and lack of fairness in carrying out your duties, leading to the political weaponization of the government. ”

Former FBI agent Phil Kennedy has been speaking out on social media about personnel issues in the new administration, sharing a steady-state letter called the FBI “purge.”
“Walter Giardina, the dishonest anti-Trump agent who worked on the Jack Smith document case with the Kash pilot, was reportedly fired by the FBI,” Kennedy wrote in a separate post. “It’s the boulder of the station.”

News of the agent’s firing come months after he was ordered to complete a survey asking in-depth questions about his potential role in the January 6th, 2021 U.S. Capitol investigation.
The survey first reported by Fox News Digital raised concerns that it could be used to retaliate against agents involved in the January 6 investigation. These concerns reached fever later that month. Deputy Attorney General Emile Bove subsequently ordered the department to compile a list of all current and former personnel who worked on January 6th.
The Trump administration has yet to say whether it will act to act against those involved.

In February, President Trump refused to answer questions about whether his administration would remove FBI employees involved in the January 6, 2021 investigation, and refused to riot at the Capitol, reporters said the bureau was “corrupted” and that then-FBI director Patel would “settle it straight.”
