President Donald Trump recently spoke to the Silver Elephant Gala, a Republican of South Carolina, through a phone call that Sen. Lindsey Graham endured the microphone.
Trump, who supported Graham for reelection earlier this year, continued to express his support for the senator while speaking on the phone.
Trump said the senator had “full support” of him, calling him a “great man” and that Graham needed him and “will never forget it.”
After Trump’s support of Graham, a conservative backlash erupts: “I’m not with Trump at all with this.”

“Thank you for the shocking call, President!” Graham said in X’s post he also featured footage of Trump’s comments about him.
“With your support, I will continue to provide America’s first agenda to the greats of South Carolina. I am pleased to have been part of the most incredible six months in modern history led by President @Realdonaldtrump.”
Graham, who has served in the Senate since 2003, faces major Republican challengers.

Paul Dans, former director of the Heritage Foundation’s 2025 Presidential Transition Project and one of Graham’s challengers, attended an event Trump spoke on the phone.

Graham will be re-electioned in 2026.
