President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Ukrainian President Voldymi Zelenkie could end the war with Russia “almost immediately” if he wanted.
Trump’s comments come ahead of a scheduled meeting with Zelensky and European leaders in Washington, DC on Monday.
“Ukrainian President Zelensky can close the war with Russia almost immediately if he wishes. “Remember how it started. You can’t get Obama back (12 years ago, no shots and no shots!), and you won’t go to NATO in Ukraine. Nothing will change!!”
NATO Executive Director Mark Latte, European Commission’s Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Finland President Alexander Stubb confirmed they will be attending a meeting in Washington on Sunday.

Their joint existence underscores the European driving force of presenting a united front when Russian wars are dragged over.
Zelensky met von der Leyen in Brussels before the Trump Conference, setting prioritization for the White House Conference, focusing on long-term military aid, Ukrainian EU ambitions, and strengthening transatlantic solidarity against Russian invasion.
Von Der Leyen said at a joint press conference that he was pleased to join Washington’s Zelenskyy and other leaders on Monday.
Trump called it “a great honor.”

“Tomorrow is a big day at the White House. There have never been many European leaders at once. He said in another post about the True Society.
“The fake news has been saying for three days that I suffered a ‘big defeat’ by allowing Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold a massive summit in the United States,” Trump said in a separate post. “In fact, he would have loved to meet in places outside the US, and the fake news knows this. It was the main point of competition!
“These people are sick! They want crime in DC and other blue cities in our country, but don’t worry, I won’t let it happen,” the president continued. “Like our current safe southern border (zero illegals of the past three months!), our cities are safe and secure, and DC is leading!”

Zelensky’s White House meeting followed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Trump summit in Anchorage on Friday, when Trump withdrew his ceasefire demands and called for a final peace deal.
After meeting with Putin, Trump said Russian leaders were willing to end the war in exchange for major Ukrainian territorial concessions. He added that Kiev should make a deal because “Russia is such a great force and not.”
