Exclusive: Attorney General PAM Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have invited Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey as additional deputy director of the department.
Bailey was co-director along with Associate Director Dan Bongino, where Fox News Digital studied.
“We are thrilled to have Andrew Bailey as co-director at the FBI,” Bondi told Fox News Digital. “He is a well-known state attorney general, an decorated war veteran, bringing his expertise and dedication to his service. His leadership and commitment to the country will become an incredible asset he works with to promote President Trump’s mission.”

“The FBI, as the leading federal investigator under the Justice Department, will always bring the greatest talent this country has to offer to achieve the goals set out when the overwhelming majority of Americans elected President Donald J. Trump,” Patel told Fox News Digital, saying Bailey will “be an integral part of this important mission and “continue to fight America.”

As Missouri Attorney General, Bailey launched the Anti-Trafficking Task Force to deal with more than 1,100 reporting cases in Missouri. He also cleared the backlog of forensic evidence (safe) kits for sexual assault, improving prosecution in sexual assault cases.
Bailey’s office has also defended the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in civil lawsuits and has consistently advocated for law enforcement. Bailey was approved by Missouri’s Brother Police Order.

Bailey’s office also reported a 133% increase in criminal prosecutions at the court-level.
Bailey also holds the then civil servants as Attorney General accountable. He called for the sheriff’s resignation due to financial mismanagement and misconduct, and separately announced the large ju court indictment against St. Louis County’s execution for stealing and violation of election laws.

“I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve as co-director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” Bailey told Fox News Digital. “I thank President Trump, the U.S. Attorney General and Director Patel for joining their stated mission to make America safe again.”

Officials in the senior administration told Fox News Digital that President Donald Trump “hopes that bad guys have been charged, illegals have been deported and corrupt politicians have been held responsible.”
“We need every hands-on deck to achieve all of these important goals,” the official said. “Andrew Bailey will serve as another set of trustworthy and experienced hands to help Attorney General Bondi and FBI Director Patel carry out the president’s mission.”

The FBI has already seen 19,000 arrests nationwide under Patel’s leadership. That’s twice as many arrests in all of 2024.
Of these, 1,600 individuals have been arrested for violent crimes against children, according to the FBI. 1,000 people were arrested from an investigation into foreign terrorist organizations, and three of the “top 10 most wanted” were arrested in 2025.
Patel’s FBI rescued 4,000 child victims. This has been an increase of 33% since 2025. 1,500 kilos of fentanyl were seized. 6,300 kg of methamphetamine were seized.

A senior official told Fox News Digital that murder rates are currently on track to be the lowest in history.

“President Trump hopes America will soon become the safest country in the world, and he has put together a team focused on the best law and order in business to achieve that goal,” White House press director Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital.
The addition of Bailey lies in the nature of Trump’s expanding law and order agenda. Bondi is in charge of the federal acquisition of Washington, DC, and the FBI plays a major role.
Bondi announced Friday that nearly 200 arrests, including suspected murders and illegal gun criminals, have been “counted” in the country’s capital as the Trump administration federated the city to tackle crimes.

Among those arrested were two suspected murder, 17 suspected drug traffickers, 39 suspected illegal gun criminals and two sexual predators.
