Babies at a neonatal intensive care unit in Los Angeles were dressed up in adorable costumes inspired by children’s book characters to celebrate Halloween in style.
The fun-sized costumes are made with Velcro adhesive so parents can safely and easily dress their babies, and are hand-sewn by a group of volunteers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Parents love the tradition, said Bevin Merideth, associate director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
“Now you can celebrate your child’s first Halloween,” Meredith said. “They take the costumes home as keepsakes to show their babies growing up.”

The spooky lineup also featured tigers, Supergirl, Dr. Seuss characters and even a tiny gymnast holding a medal.
“Honestly, I’m trying not to cry,” said NICU mother Mary Dorning. “It was an unforgettable experience that made our NICU vacation so special and something we will cherish forever.”
