One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Ralph’s supermarket in Sun Valley that left one person dead and another injured.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to 8325 Laurel Canyon Blvd. Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. south of Roscoe Boulevard for an assault with a deadly weapon. When officers arrived on scene, they found three men had followed two other men into the store and attacked them with pipe wrenches, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told City News Service.
One of the men in the attack pulled a gun and fired at the three assailants who fled from the store.
Police set up a perimeter around the grocery store to search for the gunmen who fled the store.
Police later said they received a call from nearby Pacifica Hospital about one of the suspects suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The suspect later died at a hospital.
Another man who was with the trio was found not far from the store with a gunshot wound to the leg.
It is unclear at this time whether police have a suspect in custody.
