Scripted or not, the animosity between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul amplified.
Tyson made headlines Thursday for slapping Paul during Friday’s pre-fight weigh-in. Paul appears to have stepped on Tyson’s bare feet with his shoes on shortly before the incident.
Paul ended up talking about being slapped on stage, to which Tyson said in a NSFW moment that he “needs to die”.
“I’m pissing him off,” Paul yelled into the microphone. “He hits hard. It’s personal now. He deserves to die.”
Tyson, 58, has a career record of 50 wins, six losses, and 44 wins by knockout, but his last professional fight was in 2005.
Paul, who is 27 and 31 years younger than Tyson, is 10-1 with his only loss coming in 2023 against Tommy Fury.
The Tyson vs. Paul card begins at 8:00 PM ET, 7:00 PM CT, 5:00 PM ET. It will not be shown on television and exclusive rights belong to Netflix. Current subscribers can watch at no additional charge, but new subscribers start at $6.99 per month.
