Two stabbings in Glendale Sunday night left four people injured and three hospitalized, police said.
Glendale police said the stabbings happened within 20 minutes of each other and it’s unclear whether either incident was gang-related.
Officials said the first stabbing was reported in the area of Dryden Street and San Rafael Avenue at 7:44 p.m.
Details are limited, but preliminary reports indicate an unknown number of people were involved in the scuffle, and that three people were stabbed.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene and all three victims were transported with minor injuries.
Police have not released a description of the suspect and say the investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
Police said the second stabbing occurred a short time later, around 8:03 p.m., in the 100 block of Windsor Road.
Authorities said the man, who may have been intoxicated, was wandering around the area when a group of men asked him to leave.
Police said the man did not want to leave and ended up stabbing one person during the dispute.
Authorities have not provided further information about how the situation escalated into violence, but have confirmed that a suspect was captured and taken into custody.
Police did not immediately release the suspect’s identity.
The lone victim was said to have suffered minor injuries and refused transport.
Police said the scene has since been cleared and there is no longer an investigation underway.
