The author of a book allegedly based on Kim Porter’s diary has escalated his legal battle with the sons of Porter and her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Courtney Burgess and his attorney, Ariel Mitchell, have rejected requests from Christian Combs and Quincy Combs to halt Porter’s alleged disclosures.

Mr. Burgess said he was working in Atlanta when Mr. Porter, a former colleague, shared the flash drive. He exclusively told NewsNation’s “Banfield” that he was given 11 flash drives containing at least eight sex tapes involving eight celebrities.

Mitchell said Combs’ team is “upset, to say the least.”

Mr Burgess, a court witness for Combs, also said he had received a manuscript titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey to Justice from the Other Side” which was purported to be Mr Porter’s memoir. The book details physical abuse, sexual coercion and other acts of violence that Combs allegedly committed against Porter, a mother of four who died in 2018.

The $22 paperback was quietly released on Amazon, but sales skyrocketed following news of Combs’ arrest and the shocking charges against him. Amazon later removed the memoir from its site.

Asked if he was nervous about facing Combs, Mitchell said on “Banfield”: “I’m not scared.”

“I wear two straps and God protects me,” she added.

Mitchell said of his other clients that “all of them are very concerned about their safety” if Combs is granted bail.

“I’m confident in the court. I’m confident the court will uphold its previous decision of no bail,” Mitchell said Friday on “Banfield.” “I have full confidence that the federal courts and the state of New York will hold Diddy free and that all of the victims in this case will be able to file suit sooner rather than later.”

Last month, Combs’ lawyers requested a gag order to prevent his accuser’s lawyers from commenting publicly, arguing that government leaks to the media jeopardized Combs’ chances of receiving a fair trial. I was doing it. Mr Mitchell said his client believed the purpose of the gag order request was to silence Mr Burgess.

Mitchell told “Banfield” earlier this month, “I truly believe that Combs is aware that what Courtney has said and what is on the flash drive is definitely a real event.” . “That’s the last thing Combs wants about him.”

Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges that he “led a racketeering conspiracy that involved crimes such as sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.” “

Combs is currently under house arrest on $50 million bail.

He remains in custody pending a May 5 trial after two judges denied him bail in a ruling pending appeal to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.
