Two people were hospitalized after a broad daylight armed robbery on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Sunday, police confirmed to KTLA.
Officers with the Beverly Hills Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Rodeo Drive, at the intersection of Brighton Way, on reports of an incident just before 1:30 p.m.
A man and a woman were waiting outside a boutique when they were approached by four suspects, one of whom pulled out a gun during an altercation between the victim and the suspects, according to a BHPD news release.
“During the altercation, the suspects forcibly took two branded handbags (one from each victim) containing cash and a mobile phone,” police said in a statement. “A mobile phone was recovered nearby. The suspects also attempted to steal the male victim’s jewelry but were unsuccessful.”

Video of some of the incident obtained by KTLA shows four suspects wearing black clothing and hooded sweatshirts fleeing the scene. At least one of the suspects is likely carrying one of the handbags.
The crew was last seen running up Rodeo Drive and into an alley.
It is unclear if anyone was injured, but the victim was seen falling to the ground, another person kneeling on top of him, and one of them screaming for help.

Medical personnel from the Beverly Hills Fire Department responded to the incident, but authorities said the man and woman sought independent treatment at a local hospital.
Their terms were not immediately available.
