These Modern Family stars’ Thanksgiving celebrations didn’t go as planned.
Because on November 28, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Julie Bowen, who played brothers Mitchell and Claire, respectively, on the hit sitcom, were rushed to the emergency room with their children.
Ms Bowen, who has son Oliver, 17, and twins John and Gustav, 15, with ex-husband Scott Phillips, shared an image of one of her children standing in front of an emergency room.
She captioned the photo: “It’s a holiday without going to the ER. (He’s fine by the way) Thank you.”
But she wasn’t the only former TV star Pritchett to spend the holidays with health care workers. Tyler Ferguson’s husband Justin Mikita commented on her post: “So do we.”
And in fact, shortly after the news of Bowen, Mikita and Tyler Ferguson, father of sons Beckett Mercer, 4, and Sullivan “Sally” Lewis, 2, rushed from his hospital bed to reveal his chest. She shared a photo of one of her children lying on top of her.
Thankfully, he had an older sister to lean on.

“I received so much parenting wisdom from @itsjuliebowen,” the 49-year-old captioned the Nov. 28 post. “So I was relieved to know that I wasn’t the only one with my child in the ER on Thanksgiving.”
Thankfully, Tyler Ferguson pointed out that whatever brought him to the ER wasn’t that serious. He continued about his son: “(He’s doing well, too.) Thank you to the kind people at Lenox Health. New York City truly has the best health care.”
Still, among those sending love amidst fear was Tyler Ferguson’s on-screen stepmother, Sofia Vergara, who wrote “Oh no!!!!” next to three red hearts. I commented.
But as further proof that all was well amidst the ordeal of Thanksgiving, Tyler Ferguson shared a sweet photo of his suit-clad son looking out at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade route through an ornate window on his Instagram Story. Shared with.
He captioned the Nov. 29 image: “Thank you to my friends for helping me make memories for my children.”
And indeed, having a front row seat to a celebrity-studded balloon extravaganza is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
